WHEN MOTHERS THRIVE, THE WORLD THRIVES

For Yulia Fedorishina, entrepreneurship has never been about profit alone. It’s been about people – about creating spaces where families feel connected, supported, and inspired. As the Founder and CEO of Ribambelle, she’s redefining what family hospitality can look like.

“I build a business model where empathy and performance coexist,” she explains. “By supporting parents, empowering women leaders, and shaping a culture of trust and excellence, I want to drive growth that’s human – not just financial.”

Ribambelle is a premium family hospitality concept, established 15 years ago and now expanding across the Middle East. With its mix of elegant dining, creative children’s activities, and events that blend quality with care, Ribambelle is transforming how families spend time together.

From Finance to Family Spaces

Yulia’s journey began in the corporate world. After earning her MBA from INSEAD and spending seven years in financial consulting, motherhood changed everything. “When I became a mother, my entire perspective shifted,” she says. “I wanted to create the kind of place I once searched for as a young parent – somewhere families could feel both cared for and inspired.”

That idea became Ribambelle – a concept that has since expanded into Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the UAE, building an ecosystem of restaurants, catering, and party planning services. For nearly two years, Ribambelle has proven to Dubai audiences that family time can be effortless. Located on Bluewaters Island, Ribambelle was created for parents who don’t want to choose between quality time with their children and time for themselves. It’s a space where family life unfolds naturally – without pressure, rush, or compromise.

At its core is a simple belief: children deserve meaningful engagement, and adults deserve real comfort. While children take part in creative activities or play freely, parents can enjoy a proper meal, work, talk, or simply pause. In a fast-paced city like Dubai, Ribambelle offers something rare: a feeling of support.

The brand places particular care on supporting mothers. It’s a judgment-free environment where arriving with children of different ages feels easy and natural. Designed with calm aesthetics, natural materials, and open layouts, Ribambelle feels more like a Michelin-aspired, relaxed retreat than a typical children’s venue.

In Dubai, it has become more than a restaurant. It’s a meeting point for families – a place that welcomes children as they are and turns everyday moments into shared memories. As Yulia puts it, “When society excludes children, it silently excludes mothers too. My mission is to bring them back.”

“Over 15 years of entrepreneurship, I’ve learned that true leadership starts with empathy and endurance,” she reflects. “Success isn’t just about growth – it’s about creating a culture where people, purpose, and profit thrive together.”

Empathy as a Business Strategy

Yulia’s philosophy is simple but powerful: when you care for people, business takes care of itself. “I focus on transforming the lives of employees through trust and growth,” she says. “Their well-being multiplies our impact.”

As a mother of three and a business leader, Yulia brings her home values into her company culture. “Empathetic leadership begins at home,” she says. “By supporting parents and building values-driven companies, we create lasting impact for generations to come.”

Her definition of success is deeply personal. “When employees find purpose, mothers feel supported, and families leave Ribambelle happier than they arrived – that’s success.”

Balancing Leadership and Motherhood

The greatest challenge of Yulia’s career wasn’t financial – it was personal. “For years, I believed I couldn’t lead, grow, and be a present mother at once,” she says. “I learned that real strength lies in consistency, not speed.”

“I used to overestimate what I could do in one year and underestimate what could be done in twelve,” she reflects. “I choose sustainable progress now – a slower rhythm that protects my values and keeps my leadership authentic.”

Leading Through Crisis

Among her proudest moments was steering Ribambelle through the COVID-19 pandemic. “Despite the shutdown of our industry, we protected our team, launched new initiatives, and supported doctors and families,” she recalls. “That period reminded me that real leadership is about humanity – standing by your people when it matters most.”

For Yulia, empathy isn’t a soft skill – it’s a strategic advantage. “When people feel cared for, they bring their best selves to work. That’s how we’ve built resilience as a company.”

A Legacy of Care

Looking ahead, Yulia envisions restaurants becoming more than dining destinations. “I believe restaurants will become the new community centres of modern cities,” she says. “Places where real communication still happens.”

Her Russian heritage – with its culture of resilience and celebration – shaped her approach. “In Russia, people cherish joy, and children’s birthdays are celebrated even more passionately than adult ones,” she says. “That perspective shaped how I see family time – as something vibrant, meaningful, and worth elevating.”

Her advice for women forging their own paths reflects her leadership style: “Believe that you can build your own rhythm – you don’t have to run fast to go far. Stay true to your values, care for people along the way, and never see motherhood or empathy as weakness. The world needs more women who lead not louder, but wiser – and with heart.”

As she continues to grow Ribambelle across the Middle East and beyond, Yulia remains committed to one truth: when mothers thrive, the world thrives.
