Building a Community for Women in Web3
“I impulsively founded Women in Web3 one year ago,” Naomie says. “In a mere week, I orchestrated a resounding success by assembling a team, securing sponsorship from Sandbox, procuring a venue, arranging catering, and officially registering the association.”

At the heart of Naomie’s endeavors is Women in Web3, a rapidly expanding community she founded that is now Europe’s largest, boasting over 3,000 members. This pioneering community serves to uplift and empower women in the web3 space. From organizing regular events on trending topics like DAO, NFT, Metaverse, and DeFi, to providing grants for hackathons, Naomie and her team is making technology and its future more accessible to women. From enabling networking and collaboration opportunities to spotlighting women panelists and their accomplishments, WIW3 are fostering an environment of inclusivity. In a year, they organised 13 in real life events, gathering more than 1,000 members, in Paris, Lisbonne and Tel Aviv.
“In this future, my role is to contribute to a more inclusive society by leveraging my expertise in both blockchain and AI. I aim to advocate for ethical and transparent AI systems and promote the responsible use of these technologies,” Naomie asserts.
Creating Opportunities
When asked about advice she would give to her past self, Naomie emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and personal growth. As the tech industry evolves rapidly, staying ahead of the game requires adaptability and a commitment to learning. “By investing in ongoing education, exploring new ideas, and expanding my skill set, I can better navigate challenges, seize emerging opportunities, and thrive in an ever‑changing landscape,” she says.
“We are actively engaged in various initiatives and activities that benefit our community of women,” Naomie shares about her efforts through Women in Web3. “We organize events, provide grants to hackathons, offer free tickets to international conferences, spotlight women panelists, and conduct workshops on specific thematic areas to provide practical guidance and knowledge.”

Looking to the future, Naomie is most excited about the transformative power of emerging technologies. She believes in leaving a lasting legacy that prioritizes ethical and responsible use of technology. She aims to inspire others to use technology for the betterment of society.
“Women in Web3 leverage emerging technologies such as blockchain‑based platforms or decentralized applications (dApps) to create networking and collaboration platforms specifically tailored for women in the web3 space,” Naomie shares.
When asked about advice for women forging their paths, she stressed the importance of continuous learning, developing a strong foundation, seeking mentorship and support, building a voice, and embracing collaboration.
Beyond serving women in the web3 industry, Naomie’s initiatives aim to challenge the underrepresentation of certain groups in technology, advocating for a more balanced and diverse ecosystem. “Our work aims to benefit several groups within the web3 ecosystem: women in the web3 industry, underrepresented groups, emerging technology community, and society at large,” Naomie explains. Her vision extends to creating a world where the benefits of technological advancements are accessible to all individuals, regardless of background or gender.
“Your unique perspective and talents are valuable assets. By continuously learning, developing your skills, and amplifying your voice, you can forge a successful path and contribute to a more inclusive and diverse future,” she states. On the subject of the most critical issue facing women in the industry today, Naomie points out the lack of visible role models and representation. She suggests celebrating successful women, establishing mentorship programs, fostering inclusive work environments, implementing educational initiatives, and promoting collaboration and solidarity as ways to address this issue.
Envisioning a Better Future Through Blockchain
Naomie firmly believes that technology, particularly blockchain, has the potential to fundamentally shape our future. The decentralized nature of blockchain fosters a more democratic ecosystem, offering enhanced security, privacy, and transparency.

“By asserting myself, I’ve been able to establish my presence and expertise,” she shares. “Challenging stereotypes and biases through my work and actions have been important to me.”

“In my current role, I actively contribute to the innovation ecosystem by working at the intersection of finance and blockchain. I collaborate with hedge funds and banks to explore and implement blockchain solutions in their operations,” Naomie says. Looking to the future, Naomie sees the convergence of blockchain and AI as a significant trend that will shape her industry in the next five to ten years. “We can expect continued growth of blockchain applications across various industries and advancements in decentralized AI models for secure and private data sharing,” she predicts.
