KRYPTO FOR KIDS (K4K) is a global movement started by tech enthusiastic parents and children. This experimental initiative was founded in St.Kitts & Nevis by crypto-curious Anu Bhardwaj and her daughter Arya Sitara Bhardwaj. It is powered by kids interested in learning and teaching the skills needed for the digital future ahead. Alongside global IRL and virtual events, K4K is developing a virtual EdTech platform to connect children worldwide and empower them through education and edutainment.
At the July 2018 Blockchain for Impact Conference in St. Kitts and Nevis, Anu presented to impact investors, blockchain founders and developers her work on a digital wallet for women. Arya and her Japanese au pair were the only attendees not part of the delegation but were nonetheless invited to learn along with the conference’s delegates. The conversations were fascinating for these young minds, and quickly talk turned to Arya suggesting to her mother the need for a digital wallet and crypto learning tools and events for kids.
A few months later in November 2018, KRYPTO FOR KIDS was officially launched at the inaugural Blockchain on the Beach conference at the Montage Laguna Beach Resort in Laguna Beach, California.

“At the time, we had a number of partners, including CryptoChicks from Canada, Women in Blockchain, NEM, and 30 other local partners and media outlets working closely with us – and we spotlighted the work of our young participants and invited them to participate in media production,” shares Anu. “All our guests participated in the original podcast and video creation we shared on social media. In June 2019, Krypto For Kids was invited to join a panel at the second Annual Blockchain for Impact Summit at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, where our panel of girls and women presented their new mobile app, plans for their own conference at the United Nations and upcoming conferences for 2020.”
In January 2020, KRYPTO FOR KIDS was invited to join a session of the World Economic Forum in Davos hosted by The State of Women Institute, one of the initiative’s 501c3 partners. Shortly afterwards, the world was forced to interact digitally because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Several of KRYPTO FOR KIDS’ young members started NFT projects, one started a mobile app submitted for a UNICEF Blockchain Innovation Fund grant, and another started an NFT gaming platform that is now getting ready to raise venture capital funding.

“It was only in October 2022 that our team came back together,” Anu remarks. “This time, they decided to share their talents with children across the islands of Barbados, Iceland, and Bermuda, developing a live-stream initiative in partnership with the University of West Indies Barbados and the National Cultural Foundation Barbados. The inaugural Krypto for Kids Caribbean launch included a speech by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley that focused on the power and potential of technology for good and social responsibility in making our planet more peaceful and sustainable. Parents and students were invited to participate in LIVE NFT creation projects, AR/VR MetaVerse demonstrations, and a live computer construction project attended by children from primary schools and secondary schools across Barbados. Anchor Partners include the ALGORAND Foundation, the Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship, CODIVERSE, NFT Kids, Mission Impact, and numerous livestream partners across Latin America, the Caribbean, North America, and the European Union which were featured in over 200+ global news channels. “Our global tribe of parents and kids is becoming more and more diverse and inclusive, with children poised to be leading our new digital economy forward,” remarks Arya Bhardwaj, co-Founder of Krypto For Kids.
SHEQONOMI was formed in 2021 from the original code developed for KRYPTO FOR KIDS’ app. This platform sprouted into a rewards generating podcast listening app for everyone around the world interested in learning how to spend, save, invest, or donate digital rewards in the very near future. These mobile apps are available on Android, iOS, and KaiOS. It will be available for download in the JioStore on all Reliance Jio mobile devices, which will go live on nearly 150,000,000 devices across all Jio mobile platforms across India in 2023.
KRYPTO FOR KIDS is driven by a team of children with a vision to create an impact in the world and inspire entrepreneurs. What we are most proud of to date, is that children are actively building a world they want to live in and driving the change they want to see in the world.
