COO – WEYU & CEO WAGMI GUIDE

When Caroline Johnova was working as a creative marketing and branding professional years ago, she never imagined she’d end up in the tech industry one day, let alone in the web3 space.

But now, as the COO of WEYU and CEO and co-founder of WAGMI Guide, this multidisciplinary creative tech leader is flexing her creative muscle as a strategy advisor in blockchain and NFTs. Ironically, she quips she’d previously never had ‘any interest in tech’ until she discovered NFTs and their potential of true ownership for creators.

With her self-description on LinkedIn, ‘building brands with a Metaverse state of mind,’ Barcelona-based Caroline comments that WEYU is a ‘multi-chain platform that facilitates entry into web3’ by empowering today’s creators with the tools to explore and thrive in tomorrow’s digital revolution.

“In 2021, as a COO of WEYU, our mission was to ensure that everyone could easily participate in the revolutionary technology that NFTs bring into the world.”

As the first web3 multi-chain platform for the NFT resale market – where ‘anyone can earn crypto, NFTs and other prizes by performing simple tasks on social media’ – Caroline stresses the need to make web3 a space of equal opportunity for everyone.

WEYU had to create tools for the general user and create a bridge for the masses to enter the space, which explains its suite of user-friendly products and services to make blockchain technology accessible to everyone.

Driving innovation and web3 collaboration

Others have described Caroline as dedicated, positive and proactive. And based on her involvement in some recent projects, it’s understandable why she’s earned a reputation for being a strong initiator and power connector. Aside from WEYU, Caroline says another big part of her world is as CEO of WAGMI Guide. This event app connects global communities with meetups, conferences, and thought leaders around the world in the web3 space to ensure nobody ‘misses out and gets the most out of everything happening.

Convinced that ‘web3 is all about collaboration,’ she’s justly proud of WEYU’s recent collaboration with high security blockchain platform Zilliqa, which bridged the gap between fashion, creativity, culture, and NFTs.

Barcelona, Spain Innovation and diversity can advance web3 This innovative project entailed helping legendary celebrity hair stylist Sam McKnight launch his first ‘reimagined’ limited-edition NFT collection. With McKnight having worked with top models including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Gigi Hadid, the event showcased NFTs recreating images of hair styles inspired by iconic fashion moments. NFTs are clearly offering limitless opportunities, including being used to tell creative stories and become embedded in the digital strategies of many brands in art, fashion, music entertainment, and even social initiatives.

NFTs and women a massive game changer in web3

For Caroline, 2021 was ‘definitely the year the big boom for NFTs,’ adding it was Word of the Year in Collins Dictionary.

With her aim to ‘create the next generation of interactive web3 experiences,’ she’s thrilled about WEYU’s new YU Launch platform. It provides simple, user-friendly tools empowering anybody, anywhere, to easily design, generate, launch and mint their own NFT digital assets. Better yet, it’s free, can be done in minutes, and requires no tech knowledge.

With her admiration for many strong women led projects in the space, Caroline tweeted recently “women + NFTs are going to be a massive game changer in shaping the future of the web3 market.”

Her excitement also spills over into the increased power of communities, because she’s passionate about bringing ‘more women and minorities into the space.’

Innovation and diversity can advance web3

As for opportunities and impact, Caroline says the most groundbreaking fact about web3 is that it’s smashing qualification barriers worldwide and changing people’s lives economically like no industry before.

“I truly believe web3 will create new environments with a progressive culture beyond real-world divisions of race, gender, religion, politics and geography.”

She envisages the Metaverse will open a whole new world by defying the laws of physical reality to explore exciting business opportunities. However, she stresses the need to address current web3 issues − user-friendly tools like crypto wallets, a lack of fluid, flexible design and inadequate AR\VR technology.

Caroline wraps things up in infinitely upbeat style, “I personally really like what the space is shaping into and while I can’t predict the future, I know this is only the beginning.”
