For someone who’s nearly lost her life twice, former hospice nurse-turned Blockchain Strategist and multi-award-winning tech author Alyze Sam is remarkably cheerful. Her first brush with death was in 2014 − after being hit by a commercial semitruck, and sustaining serious spinal injuries requiring multiple surgeries −, the second, years later, when she contracted a rare disease during pregnancy.
In podcast interviews, Alyze is upbeat, joking about getting into ‘blockchain by accident.’ While the devastating accident took her ‘ability and deep passion for patients and nursing,’ Alyze remarks becoming an early investor in bitcoin was lifechanging, as it gave her a second chance at life.
Retired from her 11-year nursing career, she ‘went all into blockchain,’ studying it for six years and asking advice from Fintech industry leaders.
Now, having overcome many daunting hurdles, this Kansas-based ‘blockchain babe’ believes ‘many great things are birthed from difficulty.’ Named in the top 50 in Blockchain, and Top 5 Woman in NFTs, Alyze is making ‘positive changes and changing lives via computer science, fintech, blockchain tech and encryption.’
One of her many web3 business interests is as founder of Tech & Authors. This collective of technology and manuscript experts produces unbiased, technical writing services and poetic education, ‘simplifying complex ideas to allow comprehension to everyday consumers.’
Aside from directorships at several blockchain companies, she’s a prolific blockchain and crypto educator, writing for numerous Tech magazines. Alyze’s work also inspired The Bad Crypto Podcast to develop a personalized blockchain hero called Mz. Stability.
As a multi award-winning tech author, her f irst book on Stablecoins ranked as the #1 New Release in Business and Money on Amazon Books, followed by a university textbook on the Stablecoins economy in 2020. Her latest book, The ABCs of NFTs − also the #1 New Release on Amazon’s Computers and Technology books − was coauthored with her four-year-old Zuri “Chipmunk” Alyze.
It’s apt that peers love Alyze’s contagious energy, describing her as a beacon of positivity, filled with joy and driven by passion for what she believes in. Her commitment to blockchain’s core value stems from an authentic ‘desire towards financial inclusion for everyone.’
“I want to ensure individuals have a decent understanding of economics so they can make wise decisions, have fewer financial responsibilities, and focus on what matters most to them.”
When Alyze says she’s a ‘serial co-founder,’ she’s not kidding. She’s a co-founder at NFTYToken.io, the first NFT currency, a cofounder at GIVE Nation, a children’s financial literacy protocol that rewards altruism, as well as co-founder of The OnionClub.io, a privacy media app in W3, constructed as a DAO focusing on B2B/ B2C solutions.

Describing the Metaverse as ‘a decentralized, universal, and multileveled immersive virtual world networked and facilitated by VR, AR, AI, and blockchain technologies,’ Alyze asserts it can be used to help many people and give back to the planet.
Concerned that ‘anyone using current technologies is getting their data stolen and being brainwashed,’ she’s dedicating her life to building web3 solutions to ‘ensure each of us and our children are safe online.’
Globally advocating “do no harm” ethical technologies, Alyze is amazed to see the rapid development and unfolding of web3 and the Metaverse. But it’s important to overcome barriers including comfort of immersive experience accessories, costs, glitches, and user-friendliness.
Within five years, she envisages Metaverse home entertainment expanding, and many required to work in VR offices or school settings. Moreover, the launch of “really crazy stuff in telehealth” will include remote frequency scans and healings with incredible results.
Bypassing physical disability that prevents experiences IRL, Alyze enjoys Maloka, the world’s first mobile VR mindfulness meditation game. Her Oculus VR headset has taken her and her two young children to VR volcanoes, travel to faraway places, and visit ancient times, all while sitting at home.
In Instagram posts − mentioning amazing tech hero friends and religious faith freeing her from ‘illness, homelessness and hopelessness’ − Alyze says for her, ‘happiness is blockchain and babies, having coffee in my pjs with my kids and family while working on projects that better impact the planet.’
With the last eight years in fintech having been ‘nothing less than magical,’ this inspiring survivor ‘can’t wait to make more blockchain memories and write more award-winning copy’ with those she respects and adores in future.
“I’m excited to build a future and live in a world where I’m truly free − and no longer digitally raped, used and abused – or where my kids, data and assets aren’t safe.”
