Jacky Mfon Ekpenyong

HEAD OF AFRICAN CHAPTER ALLSTARSWOMEN NFT CLUB AND DAO

I am an NFT lover, crypto enthusiast, and Metaverse philosopher. I aim to be a Woman of Impact.

Jacky Mfon Ekpenyong lives and breathes the Metaverse. She is an enabler of women’s inclusion in web3, heading AllStarsWomen NFT Club and DAO’s African Chapter from Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She is a Co-founder of TSL Entertainment and a Leader for Growth and Business Development at ByImperfect Studios. This visionary leader has nearly two decades of experience in Sales, Growth, and Business Development and is passionate about establishing new product lines, promoting women’s inclusion in tech, and developing roadmaps for organizations.

At the AllStarsWomen NFT Club and DAO, Ekpenyong encourages female tech founders in Africa with visibility, resources and access to networks. She supports opportunities for African women’s inclusion to onboard women seeking to move into the web3 space by boosting web3 and the Metaverse education and adoption.

Making the women’s metaverse

She describes the Metaverse as a virtual world through which the mind makes everything possible: it is borderless, has no barriers or gateways, and has endless opportunities. “The Metaverse is open; it is a network,” she says. “It comprises user experience, commerce, the creator economy, hardware, infrastructure and ethos. The Metaverse will also explore various cultures, not just Western culture: it will also explore enacting past occurrences, and break down the divide between distance and language because there will be online real-time translations no matter the culture.”

Ekpenyong believes the Metaverse will transform people’s lives and experiences. For example, the disabled will be able to experience a digital life without their IRL disabilities. “Web3 technology will constantly improve to bring new ways of doing things. It will change how the world operates: various new world leaders that are promoted by communities will emerge.”

She strives to create a legacy, a digital future where women and underrepresented cultures can create spaces in a world where biases don’t exist.

As head of the African Chapter of the AllStarsWomen NFT Club and DAO, Ekpenyong engages companies in web3 to create processes for women’s inclusion in their structures and provides training and education for women wanting to enter the space. She supports funding possibilities for innovative ideas from female CEOs and founders across the African continent.

Through her role as Growth Leader at ByImperfect Studios, she encourages NFT startups and projects, helps establish NFT platforms, promotes artistic creation, and supports mental health causes and research platforms in web3 and the Metaverse.

More occasions for opportunities

The Metaverse provides opportunities for changing how we live. According to Ekpenyong, business will benefit from the Metaverse in multiple ways. The Metaverse will integrate and connect businesses: “In the real world, we don’t see much integration between healthcare and entertainment, but in the Metaverse, healthcare platforms will 1 2 be able to promote their platforms using entertainment because of its easier integration and access models.”

For individuals, the Metaverse will enable people to get jobs from anywhere in the world. It will make finding partners for projects, communities, and tribes easier. She says education will be improved as schools can host learners in the Metaverse, making it easier for students to learn and experience a school setting without IRL limitations and barriers. The Metaverse will also improve family bonding, allowing family members to meet across the world through the Metaverse.

The Metaverse will create exciting opportunities for entertainment. All forms of entertainment will be enhanced in the Metaverse. “Metaverse concerts will bring together millions of people simultaneously, with emojis floating as avatars and real-life interaction with influencers and entertainers with their fans,” she shares.

When asked what she’s most excited about for the future of this space, Ekpenyong says: “I am excited about the mass adoption of the Metaverse. I am excited about more companies getting onboarded as inclusive organizations and females who will get inspired to join web3 as a result of these opportunities. I am inspired by the projects we can create in By Imperfect that can change the world.”

Her web3 and the Metaverse work empowers African females to explore and learn about the digital revolution. The world needs more women like JackyMfon Ekpenyong to shape the future.
