In the grand mosaic of women making history in the realm of emerging technology, Janina Vinklere shines with a radiance all her own. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Janina is the co-founder of Vividly.space, a consulting, and web3 project management company. She is also an influential figure in Swiss educational circles, teaching digital marketing at the Swiss Business School and fervently advocating for the decentralized future she foresees. She is an active community member of Women in WeWe can achieve mass adoption of any emerging tech and innovation only if we educate the female part of the population.b3 Switzerland, the Swiss NFT Association, and the FTW DAO. What’s Janina’s mission? “To onboard the next 100k people to the ownership economy (web3) and to make it a diverse and lively ecosystem.” Her vision is an empowering and inclusive world where technology weaves into our daily lives in a beneficial, transformative, and accessible manner.
A Journey through the World of Emerging Tech
Janina’s journey into the world of emerging tech started with her early career as a Sales Engineer at ABB, followed by an MBA from the globally acclaimed ETH Zurich. Her insights and learning from the cutting-edge fields of digital transformation, industry 4.0, IoT, cloud tech adoption, AI, AR, and VR would lay the groundwork for her venture into the world of web3. “It was an ‘aha moment’ for me,” she recalls of her time fundraising in California when she first came across NFTs and web3 technology. “I understood that NFTs are more than just hype, that blockchain tech is the next wave of digital transformation, and crypto is enabling layer. I started to learn more about web3 and fell in love with it.” This love led her to co-found Vividly.space, with the vision of introducing a broader audience to the revolutionary potential of web3.
Pioneering Positive Change Through Tech
At Vividly.space, Janina and her team leverage the power of emerging tech, such as NFTs and blockchain-enabled tools, to create sustainable customer relationships and decentralize value creation. “By implementing NFTs, SMEs can strengthen their direct client relationships and create additional income streams,” Janina points out. This focus on customer engagement has redefined traditional business interactions, encouraging a deeper connection between businesses and customers. Her company has two main directions. Firstly, onboarding SMEs to web2.5 and web3 by creating unique and innovative projects that increase customer engagement and loyalty. She believes: “NFTs are unique digital assets revolutionizing how businesses interact with customers. These tokens allow businesses to offer exclusive rewards, access to exclusive content, and other immersive experiences.” Secondly, by implementing even the simplest NFT solutions, Vividly.space’s strategies encourage returning customers, increase customer lifetime value, and boost average order value, leading to long-term growth and profitability. Janina adds: “Our approach is user-centric, focusing on using existing tools and platforms rather than costly custom solutions. At Vividly.space, we use NFTs and blockchain-enabled tools to create lasting customer relationships and decentralize value creation.”
The beneficiaries of her pioneering work are wide-ranging, from solopreneurs to female entrepreneurs and music brands. “Our mission is to drive diversity across our clientele; therefore, we are investing our time and efforts to onboard female-led businesses and diverse teams,” she notes, exemplifying her commitment to fostering diversity in the tech landscape.
The Philosophy of Tech-Driven Future
Janina is acutely aware of the power of technology to shape our future. She has an unwavering belief in the potential of web3 to democratize value creation, making the internet a more inclusive, diverse, and vibrant ecosystem. “Everyone can join web3 and be part of value creation globally,” she explains. “It helps people from all over the world to share their unique ideas, art, and culture, making the next iteration of the internet a big, colorful, and diverse place where everyone’s voice can be heard and appreciated.” When asked about her contribution to the innovation ecosystem, she emphasizes education as a critical aspect. “We can achieve mass adoption of any emerging tech and innovation only if we educate the female part of the population. They are doing a great job in further evangelizing tech and innovation,” she opines, underlining the imperative of women’s participation in shaping the future of technology.
Unfolding the Future of Web3
“I often hear people refer to tokens and webpages, saying: “Tokens will be as ubiquitous as web pages. This isn’t accurate; tokens will be ubiquitous as life itself far surpassing web pages,” Janina asserts, addressing the future of her industry. She explains the incredible power of tokens: “We use the analogy of a website because it is the only reference point to something of this scale. They’re the largest category of digital experiences; they are like tokens in the sense they’re digital interfaces, but they are not the same. Websites are destinations where you go to receive information or a service. Tokens are much more: tokens can be the information or service, but rather than going to a destination to receive those utilities, tokens bring those to you. Beyond that, they’re composable and can interact with each other and websites. Tokens are the integration points between digital experiences and are, in some cases, the destinations themselves. They can be currency, identity, public records, stores of data, stores of value, user rights, an application, or all of these simultaneously. Because of this, they will far surpass web pages. Tokens’ functionality is far past that of websites, and because of this, there will be infinitely more tokens than websites.”
Leaving a Legacy
When it comes to her legacy, Janina is unequivocal about her aspirations: “That I cared about diversity; that I worked hard to onboard minorities and female-led businesses to web3.” This statement not only speaks to her commitment to diversity and inclusion but also highlights the empathy, respect, and work ethic that drives her interactions with the people she works with. For women who are forging their path in various fields, Janina’s advice is empowering: “Believe in yourself, be curious, never stop learning, find a supportive community, and don’t be afraid to take risks. Embrace your uniqueness and keep pushing forward!” As Janina continues to break new ground in the world of emerging technology, she is not just shaping the future of web3. She is also shaping the narrative of women in technology, redefining the role of women in shaping our digital futures, and inspiring a new generation of women to dare, dream, and create their own futures.
